VICE VERSA / Yves Decoste, Marie-Laure Mesnage 2004

The amazing Hand to Hand act gets one part of it’s unique touch from the organic head to toe body painting. However the application limited the artists to revenues with adequate infrastructure and this resulted in the wish to have a more functional costume for those events.

Since the sculpturing element of this act is SKIN the aim was to wrap the body into a pattern but not cover it all.
Many times the audience is very close to the performers and wrinkles in the fabric would distract from the spectacular picture when the two artists become one moving sculpture.
